SimpleCounter.co is a free, privacy-friendly toolkit built around one idea: counting and calculating online should be simple. Our flagship counter app lets you tap to count anything — inventory, exercise reps, attendance, prayers, knitting stitches — and works even when you're offline.
Our Mission
We build small, fast, focused tools that respect your time and your privacy. No bloated signup forms. No paywalls. Most of our tools run entirely in your browser, so your data stays on your device.
What We Offer
- A best-in-class online tally counter with multiple counters, themes, and offline support.
- Specialized counters: exercise reps, inventory, people, prayer/tasbih, knitting, lap, score, and more.
- Over 40 calculators and converters: BMI, mortgage, loan, GPA, percentage, scientific calculator, unit converters, and many more.
- 100+ educational guides on counting, calculating, and getting more from each tool.
- Installable Progressive Web App (PWA) — works offline, on any device.
Who Runs SimpleCounter
SimpleCounter.co is an independent, self-funded project run by a small team of two web developers and one writer. The site launched in 2024 after we got tired of tally counter apps that demanded an account, showed a full-screen interstitial before the first tap, or stopped working the moment the signal dropped in a warehouse aisle or a gym basement. Everything here is built and maintained in-house — we do not publish guest posts, sponsored articles, or machine-generated filler.
Editorial responsibility sits with the SimpleCounter editorial team, reachable at our contact page. If something on the site is wrong, we want to hear about it and we correct it rather than quietly deleting the page.
Editorial Standards
Every guide is written by a person who has actually used the tool it describes, then checked by a second pair of eyes before it goes live. We aim for clear, accurate, source-backed information, and we prefer to say “it depends” over inventing a tidy answer.
- How our calculators are verified: each formula is implemented from a published, widely accepted definition (standard BMI, amortisation, compound interest, population vs. sample standard deviation, and so on), then tested against worked examples from textbooks and reference calculators before release. Where a field has more than one accepted convention, we state which one the tool uses.
- How our counters are tested: on real devices — Android and iOS phones, tablets, and desktop browsers — including in airplane mode, to confirm counts survive a reload, a locked screen, and a full browser restart.
- Review cadence: tools and guides are re-checked when we change the underlying app, and otherwise reviewed at least once a year. Pages carry a last-reviewed date where relevant.
- Limits we state plainly: health, fitness, and finance tools are educational and are not medical or financial advice. See our Disclaimer.
How We Make Money
SimpleCounter is free to use and funded by advertising shown alongside the content. Ads never decide what we write or which tool we recommend, and no advertiser gets to review a page before it is published. See our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for how advertising cookies are handled.
Our Values
- Simplicity: Tools should be obvious to use within seconds.
- Privacy: We collect only what's needed. Most tools never send your input anywhere.
- Speed: Pages load fast and work offline whenever possible.
- Accessibility: Free for everyone, in 12 languages, on any device.
